  • Is there a separate fee for the Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam?

    No. The course fees includes the fees for the Green Belt certification exam

  • Is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt examination based on multiple choice questions? What is the passing score of GB?

    Yes. The examination consist of 80 multiple choice questions to be solved in 2 hours. Upon scoring 60% or above in Green Belt exam, all participants shall be awarded with Benchmark Six Sigma certification accredited by Exemplar Global (a member of ASQ family). The passing score of GB is 60% and if you score above 70%, your certificate will carry the Benchmark Seal of Excellence. You will get a participation certificate if your score is below 60%.

  • What is required for Green Belt certification?

    • Green Belt certification requires a willingness to learn, and an analytical mind. Mostly, this program is taken up by working professionals who wish to enhance their career. Students pursuing post-graduation in management also go through this program.
    • Inclination to work with data and desire to solve problems are pre-requisites for Green Belt certification. During the training, one needs to actively participate and visualize application at the workplace. This is important because the techniques apply somewhat differently in different industries and functions.

  • Which Six Sigma tools do we learn in the workshop?

    Graphical tools, Statistical Process Control, process performance metrics, FMEA, Hypothesis testing, Design of Experiments, etc. to the name a few. For detailed curriculum feel free to contact us.

  • How is Six Sigma different from Total Quality Management?

    • Six Sigma = Total Quality Management (TQM) minus weaknesses of Total Quality Management (TQM).
    • In TQM philosophy, any project is ok as long as it improves Quality. Six Sigma methodology is a more holistic approach which is based on facts, is data driven, is result oriented and exhibits a strong linkage to strategic goals. It can also be applied to all common business processes like Administration, Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, etc. If you know Quality Management, you will easily learn Lean Six Sigma.

  • Will the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt examination be conducted in testing centers or online?

    The Certified Six Sigma Green Belt examination is conducted online.

  • Will I get an ASQ GB Certificate?

    No, the ASQ is a separate examination body. You will receive a Lean Six Sigma GB Certificate from Benchmark Six Sigma, accredited by EXEMPLAR GLOBAL (part of the ASQ family).

  • What is the exam pattern of GB?

    The exam is conducted online. The questions in the final exam include material covered in all phases of the training. The exam has 80 Questions (Multiple-Choice) and lasts 2 hours. There is no negative marking and it is an Open-Book Exam.

  • How many Practice Projects do you provide with the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course?

    We provide 2 complementary practice projects with Green Belt.

  • How is your course different from ASQ?

    • Benchmark Six Sigma programs are accredited by Exemplar Global which is also a part of ASQ family. However, ASQ has its own exams as well. The curriculum is comparable. There are some differences in training and exam structure as follows –
    • Benchmark Six Sigma training has a single fee for training and exam. ASQ charges for training and exam separately.
    • Benchmark Six Sigma exams allow use of best-in-class calculators on the website so that participants do not need to remember complex formulae.
    • ASQ forum has an additional membership fee but Benchmark forum comes as free for all participants

  • When do we get the results?

    The examination result and the Certificate are provided to all the participants individually within 2 days after the examination.

  • Can I write the examination without attending training?

    Yes, you can. You will need access to materials. This access requires enrolment and you need to pay full course fee for enrolment.

  • Will the participants have unlimited access to Minitab?

    We will provide you with a 30-day Minitab trial version. We will also provide you with trials of Minitab versions 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 as needed.

  • Will I get additional certificate if I complete a project in my company after completing the Lean Six Sigma training?

    Yes, if you complete a live project within your organization within 3 years of completing the training. You will have to submit the project details to Benchmark for review and appear for a project interview.
