Duration & Format

Live online, built around working professionals — about three to three and a half hours a week during an active domain: one two-hour live session, plus application to your own job between sessions. Each domain module runs four weeks. A mandatory one-hour live Foundation session comes first, before your first domain begins. The initial credential — Foundation plus two domains — takes approximately 26–30 hours in total and typically two to three months; taking two domains in parallel can shorten this to roughly four to five weeks, subject to scheduling.

  Every submission is assessed against all eight, with structured trainer feedback through the Academy, and every module deepens them through application on new terrain.

Responsible Direction Built In

• Validate before you rely. It runs through every module and every applied task — never rely on unverified output, never expose confidential data, never hand a consequential decision to AI. And asking the same AI to check its own output is review, not independent validation.

  Responsibility is non-compensable. Six red lines govern the work — unauthorised information use, fabrication or material reliance without verification, uncontrolled delegation of consequential authority, materially harmful conduct or output, concealing AI involvement where disclosure is required, and uncontrolled operational deployment. A capstone that crosses any of them cannot pass until the issue is corrected, whatever the scores elsewhere.

  One more threshold sits alongside them: you must be able to explain your output’s limitations, its residual risks, and the circumstances in which it should not be used. Strong work everywhere else cannot compensate for its absence.

Reusable Skills That Compound

• Every module leaves you with named, reusable AI Skills — structured capability packages, not saved prompts. Each one carries its purpose and intended user, the inputs and context it needs, the direction steps themselves, the decision rules and human approval points, its validation checks and safeguards, worked examples, and an owner and version.

  A Skill is tool-agnostic by definition: the same package can be implemented as a Claude Skill, a Custom GPT, a Copilot or Gemini setup, project instructions, or a documented AI-enabled procedure. What is assessed is the reusable capability, not the container it happens to live in.

  And the test is not that it works for you. For your credential, at least one of your Skills must be successfully cold-run by someone else — run by a colleague, from your instructions, without you standing beside them. That is what turns personal capability into team capability.

Built Around Your Role and Your Week

• Nine questions about your work, about 12 minutes, none of them about AI tools. Your personal AI Direction Report maps where your time goes and recommends the two or three domains where directed AI is most likely to pay you back first — explained in your own words, drawn from your own answers. The recommendation is developmental guidance, not a competence score, and it stays yours to change after discussion.

  Then, optionally, a free 60-minute live session — open to everyone, and most useful once your report is in front of you.

  Enrolment is open continuously; you can enrol before or after the diagnostic, though it must be complete before your first domain begins. Attend the one-hour live Foundation, then start your first domain batch. About three hours a week during an active domain. No technical background required — from operations and finance to consulting, HR and leadership.

Live Sessions Under Direct Facilitation

17 hours of live facilitation: a one-hour Foundation session plus four two-hour sessions in each of your two chosen domains — demonstration, critique, and capstone confirmation.

Watch AI directed live on real work like yours, then have your own direction trails critiqued against the Eight Direction Abilities. Across Weeks 1–3 of each domain, every participant receives detailed individual feedback on at least one submission.

Batches capped at 20 participants per domain, so every capstone receives a mandatory live viva — with deeper examination scheduled into overflow slots rather than compressed into the session.

• Mandatory Live Foundation, with a Two-Part Assessment

  One live hour before your first domain begins: the Eight Direction Abilities, a trainer demonstration of a complete direction cycle end to end, a short guided exercise on your own work, and the six Responsible Direction red lines with worked examples of how each one fails a capstone. If you can’t attend, a complete recording is available — the assessment is identical either way.

  Foundation carries a mandatory two-part assessment: an automatically scored knowledge check, which you pass at 80% with every Responsible Direction question correct, and a short applied Direction Record in which you frame and direct a real task of your own. You receive structured feedback and one reassessment opportunity. Foundation scores support your learning and never appear on your credential.

  Foundation must be passed before any capstone is accepted — it is the gate to the credential, not a warm-up.

Your Work as the Project

• Application tasks are drawn from your own job — your homework is your work, and there is no simulated case study anywhere in the programme. This is the “Application” in CAIDA, built into every week.

  Each week you submit a structured Direction Record through the Academy, 48 hours before the next live session, showing how you directed the work — what you delegated, how you framed it, what you validated, what you’d do differently. Those records are what gets critiqued in the following session.

  You finish each module with a real deliverable, named reusable AI Skills, and — where the work supports it — a measured before-and-after. Outcomes, not notes.

Personal Diagnostic & AI Direction Report

• Nine questions about your work, about 12 minutes, free. Your personal AI Direction Report maps where your hours go, identifies where directed AI is most likely to give some of them back, and recommends two or three domains to start with — each recommendation explained in your own words, drawn from your own answers.

  The numbers in it are conservative, ranged, and traceable to what you told us — nothing invented. The recommendation is developmental guidance, not a competence score, and it remains yours to change after discussion.

  AI helps interpret your answers and generate the report. The questions never ask for confidential figures, client names or personal data, and nothing identifiable is used in teaching or marketing without your explicit permission.

Open Clinics, Community & Ongoing Access

• Monthly open clinic with direct facilitator access — for current participants and alumni, so guidance doesn’t end at certification. It is also the natural venue for cold-running your Skills: your credential requires at least one Skill to be successfully run by someone other than you, from your instructions alone, and the clinic gives you a tester and a setting for it.

Certificate in AI Direction and Application (CAIDA) Credential

  Certifies you as a CAIDA Professional: demonstrated ability to direct AI on real work, assessed through capstones from your own job in two domains, each confirmed in a live viva. The credential requires the completed diagnostic, a passed Foundation assessment, attendance or approved catch-up for both domains, evidence that at least one capstone was actually used in your workplace, and at least one reusable Skill successfully cold-run by another person — with no unresolved Responsible Direction concern.

  One credential, progressively updated. After your first demonstrated domain your profile may show that domain and CAIDA: In Progress. After the second, the certificate is issued. Every further domain is added to the same credential under the same permanent ID, with earlier achievements intact — and demonstrating all six adds CAIDA Complete — All Six Domains Demonstrated. There are no separate module badges or sub-certificates.

  Lifetime validity. Every certificate carries a QR code opening the authoritative online record in Accredible, which shows both what you demonstrated and your current-practice status: Current when all applicable Practice Updates are complete, Update Available during the six-month window after a material update is released, and Practice Update Overdue if that window passes. Your credential remains lifetime valid throughout — the status reports currency of practice, not validity.

Domain 6 — AI for Business Applications

• Scope and build small working tools — trackers, dashboards, approval flows — without becoming a developer, including the judgment of when not to build.
• Design data, rules, and permissions; test exceptions and misuse; deploy, hand over, and own — so your tool survives you stepping away.

Inside every module — the four-weekend rhythm

Four weeks, one two-hour live session each week.

Week 1 — Demonstrate and begin. The domain framed, a live demonstration of directing patterns on real work like yours, then guided application to your own, and your first application task set.

Weeks 2–3 — Critique and stretch. Real participant direction trails dissected against the rubric — where the framing won, where the validation failed — plus harder patterns, reusable-Skill development, and capstone preparation.

Week 4 — Confirm and consolidate. Capstone confirmation and your mandatory live viva, selected learning examples, and next steps.

Between sessions, about an hour a week: apply the method to your own job and submit a structured Direction Record through the Academy, due 48 hours before the next session. Week 4 needs a little more — one to three hours consolidating and preparing the capstone, which is due 72 hours before that session so your trainer can pre-evaluate it offline.

Your capstone is a real deliverable, assessed on all eight abilities against a four-level scale. Every ability must reach at least Demonstrated, your domain’s real-use floor must be met, and no Responsible Direction concern may remain unresolved. Work assessed as Not Yet Demonstrated gets specific feedback and one included resubmission — which is why the standard means something.

• Attendance expectations – You’re expected to attend all four live sessions. One missed session in Weeks 1–3 can be remedied through approved catch-up; more than one needs trainer review and may mean additional work or a transfer to another batch. The Week 4 viva is mandatory and live — if you miss it, a separate viva is scheduled.

Certification Earned

Certificate in AI Direction and Application (CAIDA) — issued after Foundation and two demonstrated domains. Holders carry the designation CAIDA Professional.

The credential requires: the completed diagnostic · a passed Foundation assessment · attendance or approved catch-up for both domains · a Demonstrated capstone and mandatory live viva in each · evidence that at least one capstone was actually used in your workplace · at least one reusable Skill successfully cold-run by another person · no unresolved Responsible Direction, authenticity or verification concern.
