From Using AI to Architecting AI Solutions

This course gave me something that most AI content available online does not—a practical decision-making framework rather than just a collection of concepts. I now understand how to properly scope an AI solution from the outset, including how to create an effective AI BRD that captures requirements, constraints, human-in-the-loop boundaries, and measurable success criteria instead of jumping straight into development.

I also learned how to evaluate architecture choices based on the actual business need. Understanding when a simple Knowledge Base solution is sufficient versus when a project genuinely requires an agentic system was particularly valuable. The five levels of agent autonomy provided a useful framework for making these decisions and avoiding unnecessary complexity or over-engineering.

From a career perspective, this course has genuinely changed how I see myself professionally. I no longer think of AI simply as something I use; I now see it as something I can help architect. I feel more confident participating in requirements discussions, asking the right questions before implementation begins, evaluating whether an AI solution is truly justified, and connecting business requirements with technical possibilities.

The program has given me a strong foundation to explore roles such as AI Solution Architect or AI Implementation Specialist. More importantly, it has positioned me to become someone within my organization who can responsibly scope, govern, evaluate, and validate AI initiatives—not simply experiment with AI tools.

Overall, this has been a highly impactful learning experience that has significantly expanded both my practical AI capabilities and my professional perspective.
