  • Enhancing Ammunition Manufacturing Precision

A project was executed at an ammunition manufacturer that faced complaints about lack of precision. Key issues identified were manufacturing inconsistencies and outdated quality control processes, resulting in a 15% failure rate during operations. To address this, the project team implemented advanced precision manufacturing technologies using AI based sensors and introduced rigorous quality assurance protocols, including real-time monitoring and statistical process control methods. The team also optimized supplier partnerships to ensure a superior quality of raw materials. As a result, ammunition precision improved by 67%, and the failure rate decreased to 3%. This led to enhanced predictability and effectiveness in missions. The project yielded annual cost savings of approximately INR 40 lacs by reducing waste, thereby improving overall combat readiness and safety.

  • Advancing Risk Management with Simulation

A project was undertaken for a global financial institution to improve its Risk Management framework using Monte Carlo Simulation. The objective was to enhance risk assessment accuracy and reduce high-risk loan exposure by 30% within six months. The project focused on refining input variables and simulating thousands of potential outcomes for better scenario planning and stress testing. Key benefits included a 65% improvement in risk forecasting accuracy, leading to more informed lending decisions, optimized capital reserves, and enhanced financial resilience.

  • Streamlining Appraisal Management

A project was undertaken to improve the performance management cycle. The appraisal cycle was plagued with delays often leading to employee dissatisfaction and frustration. Key issues identified were delays in goal setting, delayed reviews, delayed feedbacks and departmental issues over the ratings. The project team implemented the concept of SMART Goals. These goals were aligned with the organization objectives and were driven top down. Team also upgraded the HR systems to auto close the review and feedback window in case it is not closed by managers. With these interventions the appraisal cycle time got reduced from 3 months to 45 days and all departments were able to complete the activity before the cut off date. Timely appraisals also resulted in improved ESAT.

  • Standardizing Meeting Documentation

A project was undertaken to standardize the meeting documentation formats at the corporate office for a large MNC. There were multiple issues identified – different structures lead to confusion, missed action items and accountability, managers spending a lot of time in deciding which format to use etc. Project involved standardizing all meeting documentation formats – agenda, minutes and follow up actions etc., integrating these standardized templates within the organization mail system, training of all staff members on the new templates. The project saved approx. 250 man hours every month.

  • Realigning Product Design with QFD

A QFD project that focused on a new consumer electronics product (washing machine) that failed to meet key customer expectations (causing a 20% sales dip) was executed for a leading player in consumer durables. The team developed a comprehensive QFD matrix to translate customer needs (the WHAT’s) into design specifications (the HOW’s). By prioritizing features based on customer importance, they realigned the product design accordingly. This led to a 30% increase in customer satisfaction and a 15% boost in sales, generating an additional INR 5 lacs in revenue. The standardized QFD process ensured future products consistently met customer demands.

  • Optimizing Resource Utilization and Capacity

A resource utilization analysis and capacity model building project was done at a third party provider of financial services. They service multiple clients and have a mix of both onshore and offshore employees engaged in different tasks for these clients. The objectives of the project were to analyze current utilization through time sheet entries to identify inefficiencies, areas of over and under utilization and to develop a dynamic capacity planning model aligned with demand forecasts. Solutions involved collecting and analyzing historical data on staffing, time spent on different activities and demand patterns, then creating a predictive capacity model using analytics tools like Python and Power BI. The project resulted in improving resource utilization from 79% to 87% and optimizing the head count requirement for the clients leading to realization of saving of 27 FTEs.

  • Comprehensive Risk Assessment Implementation

A risk assessment project was done for a IT services provider. The company wanted to understand the risks involved in all their processes and also wanted to have a mitigation plan for them. Project involved creating detailed process maps followed by FMEA for all the processes. Basis the RPN calculated a comprehensive list of solutions were devised to systematically reduce the risks in the processes. The project resulted in a potential saving of INR 50 lacs in terms of penalties and fines.

  • Implementing Sustainable Power Solutions

A project was done for a telecom infrastructure company. The company faced high operating costs due to excessive diesel consumption and frequent theft of diesel fuel at tower sites reliant on generators amid unreliable grid power. To tackle these issues, the team integrated solar panels and advanced battery storage with existing generators and installed remote monitoring systems to deter theft. This hybrid solution reduced diesel usage by 40%, from 1,000 to 600 liters per tower per month, and decreased theft incidents by 85%. As a result, the company saved approximately INR 90 lacs annually in operating costs across all towers in one circle. The project not only cut expenses and minimized environmental impact but also enhanced security at tower sites.
